The major racing action today, Saturday October 15, may be Caulfield Cup Day in Melbourne but thereâs still a bumper Black-Type race card at Sydneyâs Royal Randwick Racecourse this afternoon.

Racing kicks off at Randwick today at 12:35pm (AEDT) and the nine-race card is scheduled to come to a close at 5:30pm (AEDT).
A trio of Listed races plus a Group 3 headline the card and provide some top class spring betting opportunities at Ladbrokes.com.au â home of the $700 first time depositorâs match bet (excluding NSW) using the code SPRINGBONUS (T&Cs apply).
The first of the Black-Type features is Randwick Race 6 at 3:30pm (AEDT) with a field of eight stayers facing off over the mile and a half in the $125,000 Listed City Tattersalls Club Cup (2400m).
Itâs a wide-open betting market on the race with the likes of the Chris Waller-trained 58kg top weight Junoob ($4.20) and the rails-drawn Alegria ($4.20) coming off a third in the Group 3 Colin Stephen Quality (2400m) at Rosehill leading the way.
Race 7 at 4:10pm (AEDT) is the next feature with the three-year-old sprinters facing off in the $150,000 Brian Crowley Stakes (1200m).
Hair Trigger (1) is scratched leaving 11 young hopefuls with the bookies having a hard time separating the chances of the top three fancies.
Currently the returning John OâShea-trained Group 2 winner Souchez, Golden Rose graduate El Divino and the Kris Lees-trained Guard Of Honour coming off a stakesâ win at the track from September 17 are all equal favourites at $5 for the win.
The meetingâs sole Group race is next on the card with 12 remaining mares facing off in the $150,000 Group 3 The Nivison (1200m).
Itâs another open betting race for the punters outside of the favourite Egyptian Symbol ($2.80) with livewire challenges from Savoureux ($8.50) and the rails-drawn market mover Rule The River ($7).
Black-Type racing at Randwick finishes up with the card closer, the $150,000 Listed City Tattersalls Lighting (1100m) where money is coming for the favourite Kinglike ($3.70) in a big 16-starter field.
